Structure and Composition Of Differential Housing Assembly

Differential Housing: As the core component of the differential assembly, the differential housing (also known as the planet carrier) supports and fixes the planetary gears and half-shaft gears.

Planetary Gears: Located inside the differential housing, the planetary gears engage with the half-shaft gears in a circular pattern (resembling the shape of a mouth). They are able to rotate relative to the differential housing. When the vehicle is moving straight, the planetary gears only perform orbital rotation; however, when turning, the planetary gears combine orbital and rotational movements to ensure flexibility when the vehicle is steering.

Half-Shaft Gears: The half-shaft gears engage with the planetary gears and transmit torque to the wheels through the half-shafts. When turning, due to the different travel distances of the inner and outer wheels, the half-shaft gears rotate at different speeds.
